Taylor Wimpey is one of the largest homebuilders in the UK, operating from 24 regional offices across England, Scotland and Wales. We were formed by the merger of George Wimpey and Taylor Woodrow in 2007,and have operations in the UK and Spain. We integrate sustainability into the design and construction of our homes and developments and are working towards our target to reduce carbon emissions from customer homes in use by 75% by 2030. Our standard house types integrate energy efficiency measures and other sustainability features, and from 2021, a working from home area that can help customers reduce their travel footprint. But that's not all; as well as energy and climate change, our sustainability standards include nature, water and floor risk, ventilation, sound insulation, air quality, materials and waste and quality, connectivity and accessibility.

This year, we are running four Graduate Programmes; General, Strategic Land, Finance and IT.

All our graduate programmes will provide you with the technical expertise, business breadth and development to be successful and fast track you into leadership. Here’s a snippet about each programme:

General Programme

Our 2-year general programme allows you to become immersed into understanding the housebuilding process. You will gain a full appreciation of the build life cycle, support functions and at the end of the programme you will be offered a role in a discipline that aligns to your career aspirations.

Strategic Land Programme

Our strategic land scheme will offer you an in-depth view of our strategic land function and an introduction into other departments allowing you to develop an understanding of our entire business and how strategic land is a valuable asset. We also provide the opportunity to complete a RICS or RTPI accreditation under the guidance of our industry experts.

Finance Programme

Our finance graduate programme, lasting 3 years, provides a great opportunity for those completing a finance related degree looking to secure their first role in a FTSE 100 business whilst training towards their professional finance qualification.

IT Programme

The IT Graduate Programme (ITGP) runs for a period of two years in which the graduate will receive a mixture of both operational and IT experiences working in the IT department. We will also support the graduate to maintain their continuous professional development record with the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
