Interested in where your tax money is going and what it is being spent on? Are you passionate about improving public services? As a trainee at Audit Wales, you’ll be studying for your accountancy qualification whilst investigating how the public’s money is being spent, and whether it is being spent well.

You’ll play a part in the audit of over 800 public bodies across Wales, ensuring the work you do makes a real difference to the citizens of Wales. Our clients include Welsh Government, NHS Wales, local government and many more!

Who are Audit Wales?

We’re the independent public sector audit body within Wales; our unique role is to assure the people of Wales that public money is being well spent and to inspire the public sector to improve. Our work is having real impact on local communities; some of our recent national work has looked at building safety, digital inclusion, COVID-19, homelessness and climate change.

Nationality Requirements of the Role:

  • UK citizens
  • Citizens of Commonwealth countries who have the right to work in the UK
  • Citizens of the EU, EEA or Switzerland who have (or are eligible for) status under The Permanent Residence Scheme for Citizens of the European Union (EUSS)

All applicants must have the right to work as a permanent full-time employee in the UK without restrictions for the full duration of the training contract, i.e. 4 years.
