Graduate Assistant Accountant

You’ll be working with and supporting the Finance Controller, and learning loads.

You will have the opportunity to get involved with a range of areas; including aspects of financial and accounting administration, purchase ledger, and stock control.

But it won’t all be number crunching: there will be the opportunity to get involved with key management reports, and business improvement projects.

The business is a global leader in the chemical industry. There will also be some interaction with customers (who need to pay for the products), and also suppliers of the raw materials that go to make up the products (who need to be paid).

Full training is provided, so don't worry if you haven’t got any experience in these specific areas.

What you'll get

A starting salary between £25,000 – 28,000 depending on experience etc.

Graduates have previously done well there, and you will be encouraged and given the support to progress. You'll get plenty of training and development from your Manager and colleagues.

You should ideally be already working towards CIMA or ACCA. But no problem if not, as the business will support you through this (and to complete your studies if you have already started).

What you'll need

A Financial / Accounting related degree.

You should be keen to learn, and willing to take on extra responsibilities.

Where you will be doing it

The location is in Leek, and is commutable from areas including Macclesfield, Stoke, Buxton, and Ashbourne. You’ll need to be within commuting distance, or easily able to relocate due to connections there.
