The Manufacturer MX Awards 2021 celebrate the greats of UK manufacturing and the winners of The Manufacturer MX Awards 2021 represent the very best of the UK manufacturing industry. Our passion for excellence shone through and the judges of the UK Manufacturing MX Awards not only awarded us winners in the Product Innovation and Design category but also UK Runner Up Manufacturer 2021. Judges were particularly impressed with ASMPT's devotion to R&D, with one commenting that 'ASMPT has a very sound product innovation process that marries the strategic company objectives'.

During your placement year you get involved at a hands on level in projects that make a difference to our business. Following on from your placement year with us, you have the option of applying for the Graduate Retention Scheme which has been designed to continue career growth even after your placement year has finished. The top 33% of our placement students will qualify for the Graduate Retention Scheme which offers the opportunity of being retained on a remote, 8 hour a week contract during the final year at university and the potential of a full time role working at our Product Line Innovation Centre in Weymouth following graduation.

Equality and Diversity
At ASMPT, we are going above and beyond to achieve great results for diversity, equality and inclusion. We have created a workplace culture that is fit for the future in that it feels safe and welcoming for all, through regular POWERful workshops which raise awareness and encourage feedback.
The Dorset population is 4% non British, at ASMPT UK we are at 16% and we have 24 different nationalities working for us. We can do more to strengthen these numbers which is why we’ve increased the number of visas we can utilise. Our gender split is 80/20. It is only by approaching diversity with concerted and continuous actions that we can achieve our goal of gender balance.
We have a global team of business and HR managers looking into how we can reduce unconscious bias within ASMPT, increase the number of women into STEM roles and increase the number of disabled employees to ASMPT.
We also have a UK team of trusted colleagues who act as diversity advocates, promoting this project and the culture change.
